WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

Mary von Koch, Michigan USA, 3rd June 2007

Thank you so much for arranging a wonderful safari for my daughter Lynn and me and for assigning Sam Baguma as our guide to Uganda. He is very knowledgeable about wildlife and didn't seem to mind all our questions about life in Uganda. You have an incredibly beautiful country.

I can't think of anything that I would recommend changing for other groups. We enjoyed all the accomodations and the pace as we went from park to park. We were amazed how fast 12 days went by. Thanks again for a very memorable experience.

Agnes  Park, USA, 1st May 2007

Apologies for the late reply. I only returned from my extended holiday a day ago (visited South Africa after Uganda). I had a wonderful time, seeing the gorillas was an unforgettable experience and everything was planned and executed perfectly - thank you. Dominic was an excellent driver and very pleasant to be around. I appreciated his professionalism and the fact that he would act as a tour guide from time to time as we drove to and from Bwindi. Please pass on my thanks to him.  I would recommend your tour company to any of my friends and colleagues.  Thank you.

Guus van Veelen, Captain A330 KLM, Amsterdam Netherlands, March 2007

I hereby want to thank you, also on behalf of the other crew members, for the excellent safari we made on Wednesday and Thursday last week to the Murchison Falls National Park. The lodge on the Nile bank is a gem! (Nile Safari Lodge). We were all amazed by how many elephants and hippos we saw on both the boat trip and the game drive. Also the fact that the area wasn't as crowded as other game reserves are nowadays was a real pleasure. Please thank our driver Robert once again for his excellent driving.

Geert Jan van Hoogen, 21st March 2007

I was part of last week's KLM crew who went on a two-day safari to Murchison Falls. I just want to let you know we had a wonderful time out there. The whole trip was very well organized and we were in the safe hands of the driver Robert. He was very pleasant to us and a very good driver; we all felt very safe. Also the guy who took us looking for chimpanzees was extremely pleasant. And although we did not find the chimps, we enjoyed the walk and just had a good time out there. So once again: thank you very much and I hope to be back in Uganda some time soon to see some more of the beautiful country.

Jeanne McDermott, USA, March 2007

I am not sure if I will get a chance to stop by the office this week. I wanted to let you know that all went VERY WELL on my trip. Jimmy is an asset for your company. He is a safe driver and took very good care of me. The accommodation was very good and the organization by the game wardens and park to see the gorillas was impressive. hanks again.  I will be happy to use your company again and will highly recommend it to others too.

Klarieke van Dijk, Amsterdam Netherlands, 5th January 2007

Hello David. First I want to thank you for the great safari you gave us. We really enjoyed it! You were a fantastic tour guide!!

Christine Crettenand, Assistant Manager Finance & Budget Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV), Geneva Switzerland, May 2007

Thank you again for all the work you and your wonderful team have done in the organization of our meeting in Uganda. It was great success!

Mario DeMello, President Borderless Solutions UInc, Halifax Canada, 4th January 2007

Just a short note to thank you for organizing my vacation (16th -21st December 2006) in Uganda. Edward, our driver/guide, provided us with excellent service. One of our party forgot his jacket in a hotel in Mbarara and Edward managed to find it a few days later, rented a motorcycle, and brought it to our resort. This was service at it's best! Thanks.

Oonagh O'Brien, Atlas UK, 23rd December 2006

I can’t believe that it is a week tomorrow since I left Uganda. I just wanted to write to thank you for your assistance in sorting out transport for me.  I also want to write an e mail for Dominic, (the driver) and would appreciate it if you make sure he gets it.

Also want to say how fantastic Dominic  was - he went far beyond the call of duty to make sure that everything went well on my trip to Kisiizi, and that I got my research done. As well as being a great driver, he engaged with everything I was doing in such a positive way and was such a help. More help than the research assistant I had lined up if I am honest -  he now knows more about my work than many of my colleagues!  I tried to persuade him to change careers but he wasn't having any of it! ....

And he was such delightful company, everyone there became so fond of him, and  I think he has a warm welcome there with or without me!  As you may remember from the earlier e mail exchanges after Henry White wrote to you, I was worrying about the cost of travelling this way as it was more expensive than my original plan (I had expected a vehicle to be available to me from the people I am working with as it had been last time) and was a big chunk out of the research budget. However,  although it was a lot of money, the cost was more than worth it - I got so much work done and it would have been really hard to do it otherwise.

I am still missing Uganda a lot - such a  lovely country, despite the fact that my work was showing me quite a hard side of it too. But I miss the people I worked with, and the beautiful countryside. Hope you are all well, and that you have a good Christmas and New Year.

Hans Baars, The Netherlands, 14th November 2005

First of all we would like to thank you for the flexibility shown to us when booking our tour. Thank you Robert in the Pearl of Africa office. Next, the 8-day trip we did together with Robert Mugabe was fantastic. Not only was he a good driver, but also a great person and a fantastic guide. Sometimes we had the feeling he was a walking encycolpedia. Anyway, we had a great time with him and hopefully you can pass this message to him as well.

Wolfgang Bell, Toronto Canada, November 2005

Robert, who got a copy of my earlier letter to you, already responded as copied hereunder. From all the tour operators I have worked with, Robert is the fastest to answer my letters, and his answers leave nothing to be desired! Again all the Best!

Meg Buchanan, London England, 25th February 2005

I'm just writing to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to see the gorillas from Monday- Wednesday. Jamir was a fabulous guide - very efficient, a safe driver and terrific company. He was great! The van was very comfortable, as was the accomodation. Thank you very much.

Robin Jenkin, 3rd September 2003

I recently lead a team from the Oxford Community Churches to Uganda and at the mid-point of our Mission took the team on Safari with your company. I am writing to thank you most sincerely for organising the trip for us. It was a wonderful experience and the time we spent in the Queen Elizabeth National Park will stay in all our memories for many years to come.

But the most important reason for writing to you is to thank David Wamala, our guide and driver. David was kind, courteous and caring from the time he picked us up at New Hope Uganda until the time he dropped us back three days later. And we cannot praise his driving enough! Whether he was driving on the dirt roads of Luweero District, the tarmac roads, the chaotic streets of Kampala or the tracks within the park, we always felt safe. And that was no mean achievement! For our impression of Ugandan driving was that it was, to say the least, variable! Please pass on our thanks and congratulations to David from all our team. Wishing you and all at Pearl of Africa Tours every blessing.
