Kayaking - Tour code: JAK

Puddle or struggle against the rapids of the Nile in an 2-seater kayak. There are five levels of rapids whereby the 1st level is the easiest course and the 5th level is for the adventurous heart and the strong swimmer.

Bungee Jumping - Tour code: JABJ

Drop down 400 metres head first with an elastic rope tied to your legs and fly through the air afterwards. Bungeeeeeeeeee!

Quad Biking - Tour code: JAQB

Find a reason to get down and dirty. Drive your quad bike through dirt routes and come out looking like you were in a sandstorm and if it rains, people will think that you had a mud bath. Whole day safaris also available - even the kids can give it a try!

No other country in Africa can match Uganda’s amazing diversity of habitats and this richness is reflected in the ever-burgeoning bird list of over 1,062 species.


Uganda is the richest African Birding destination, with some of East Africa’s rarest and most sought after birds.

Various locations just outside Kampala offer the opportunity to see a multitude of different species. Depending on the time available and your particular interest, walks are available in a variety of different geographical areas in and around Kampala; from Swamps to Forests to Lake Shores. The Golf Course right in the City Centre also offers an excellent bird viewing opportunity if time is short.

Prices start from USD $100 per person, per day. This includes transport and a three to four hour walk with a trained bird guide.

Mabamba Swamp and Shore Line (Lake Victoria near Masaka)

About one and a half hours out of Kampala, Mabamba Swamp bird life includes many water birds such as the Shoebill Stork, Open-bill and Saddle-billed Storks, Goliath Heron, Black Herons, etc.
