Budget

Murchison Falls National Park offers an unrivaled experience combining fantastic classic game viewing, chimpanzee tracking, breathtaking scenery and the awesome river Nile with its spectacular falls. A visit here is well worth while.

Red Chilli's offers good budget accommodation and is located at Paraa on the south-bank of the River Nile. The rest camp is situated a few metres away from where boats can be hired for game viewing and sport fishing and from where the car ferry crosses the Nile for game drives.

Low to mid budget accommodation is offered in the park and the only camping facilities with modern showers, toilets, cooking area and security lighting. Twenty small camp tents and eight large tents are up for rent and if you bring your tent, you will be charged a samll fee. Please pre-book meals if your group is larger than four persons.

There are three types of bandas (round circular houses that are grass thatched) are available. There are seven twin bandas (two beds, shared bathroom facilities, electric lights and fan), three twin self-contained (two beds, en-suite bathroom, power socket, lights and fan) and two family self-contained (two bedrooms with four single beds, bathroom, lounge, power socket, lights and fan).

All bandas have beds, bedding, towels and mosquito nets. Tents do not have mosquito nets and are not provided with towels. Tents are supplied with paraffin lanterns at night and electricity is available in the bandas. Modern toilets and showers have been newly built with provision for disabled visitors.

A fully stocked and restaurant are located in a large open thatched roof overlooking the Nile. A bonfire is lit every evening to further the ‘safari’ experience.
