Lake Mburo Camp that is run by Kimbla-Mantana African Safaris, located eighty-four kilometres from Mbarara district or a four hours drive from Kampala. The camps combine seclusion and exclusivity in enchanting surroundings, offering extraordinary contrasts of comfort and wilderness.
The camps emphasize personal service and idyllic settings. Â Each of the six luxury tents is equipped with an eco friendly toilet, shower, two single comfortable beds, a dressing table and a wash basin. Each tent is provided with hand and bathing towels and two bottles of drinking water. You can hear the hyenas howling, birds and bats making their own odd noises and insects chirping as you drift off to sleep. When you are ready to shower in the morning, the guide and he will fill up the outside tank with hot water, if you wish it.
The eating tents and well stocked bars are idyllic places to unwind in the evening after a day’s activities. Meals are a fusion of local and intercontinental cuisines and are washed down with soft or alcoholic drinks. A full English breakfast and three-course lunch is served at the dining tent or in your tent on request. In the evening a big camp fire is lit making it the time to sit back and enjoy the flames and have a quiet drink.
Activities offered are morning game drives in sturdy 4x4 cars. The game and view on this drive were superb where you may see animals like Zebra, Eland, Buffalo, Crested Eagles, Kob, Impala and Babbons.
