KAMPALA SERENA HOTEL

Kampala, Capital City

Up-Market

The new Kampala Serena Hotel began life as the Nile Hotel, a government-run sixty-five roomed hotel and adjacent conference facility, built in 1975. The hotel was renovated for eighteen months at the cost of a million-and-a-half dollars a month, and was transformed into one of Africa’s most stunning hotels.

This 5-star hotel boasts of one hundred fifty-two rooms whereby 108 are deluxe rooms, 32 executive rooms, 8 corner suites, 3 businessman’s suites and a presidential suite. It has 17-acres of Pan-African styled panoramic gardens that make walks around the hotel an inforgettable experience.

Kampala Serena Hotel’s menus are planned by the Group’s leading chef to reflect the best of Ugandan and international influences such as Swahili, Asian and British cuisine. The hotel boasts of two exquisite restaurants – Pearl of Africa a la carte restaurant and ‘Explorer’ Italian bistro. Their cool interiors and sun-drenched terraces are also ideal when you want to ‘eat out’.

‘Gorillas in the Mist’ bar is one of Kampala’s most fashionable gathering places, the atmospheric ‘The Mist’ bar, rustles with bamboo and evokes the misty montane habitat of Uganda’s famous gorillas. The Pool Bar is located amid the sculptured rock gardens, cascading waterfalls and shimmering blue water of the pool complex. It is the ideal venue for café dining, family snacks, cocktails and more.

Maisha spas offer treatments like body treatments, Elemis hands and feet rituals, facials, grooming, massages and spa rituals.

The Kampala Serena Hotel Conference Centre is one of the biggest conference centres in Uganda. It boasts of a three thousand -seater hall that hosts both national and international events within a modernist, two-storey, hexagonal complex set in spacious gardens. It is superbly presented, spaciously interactive, and benefits from all the many attractions of Kampala Serena Hotel, which is accessed via a short walkway.
