Namirembe Guest House is a warm and friendly Christian establishment that was started as a monastery and retreat house for the Church Missionary Society (C.M.S.) and later passed its ownership on to the Anglican Church of Uganda Trustees.

It is five minutes drive from the city center and easily accessible by public transport. Situated on the outer slopes of Namirembe hill, the ā€œMother of Peaceā€ commands a magnificent view of Kampala and was dubbed 'A Million Dolar View'. It is within walking distance of many places of interest such as St. Paul's Cathedral at the top of Namirembe hill, the Kabaka's Palace, Kasubi Tombs and several shopping centres. A twenty-minute walk takes you to the city, with its colourful markets and other attractions. The Golf Course and the National Museum are ten-minutes drive away.

The accommodation offered caters for mid-market and budget tourist. They include single (non self-contained) rooms, standard single, standard twin, double bed, family room that are three-bedded and family room that are four bedded or more. All rooms have televisions, intercom and international dialing services and are professionally maintained.

Their restaurant serves a wide variety of local and international cuisine with courteous staff who offer personalised service that leaves memorable experiences among our clients. Open barbecues are held on Fridays as well as Sunday feasts, room service, chef's selection breakfast, Kaije coffee and fruit bar. This establishment does not serve alcohol.

Facilities available are a business solutions centre that offer internet access, faxing, copying, printing, scanning, binding, laminating and secretarial services, phone rentals, telephone cards and movies. There is a laundry and dry cleaning service, salon and massage services.
