LACAM LODGE
Kapchorwa district, Eastern Uganda
Mid-Market
Combining luxury and affordability as well as the amazing culture and natural wonders of Mount Elgon in Eastern Uganda. The lodge is constructed out of local timber and grass thatch from the surrounding plains.
The lodge have three self-contained bandas (round shaped houses that are grass thatched) – each with one double and one single bed. They have ensuite bathroom and toilet facilities whereby the showers have cleverly screened windows at eye level, allowing you to enjoy the excellent panoramic view before retiring in their raised wide beds. There are six dorm-style rooms and tent camping area.
There is no electricity at Lacam - no rumble of generators to spoil the ambient sounds created by the waterfall and songbirds. It is well lit by lanterns as well as a warm, blazing fire during the night.
Meals, whether eaten on the wide deck in the sun or under the restaurant’s roof, will be a culinary treat, followed by a variety of desserts.
